Comprehensive Laboratory Test Program for DSTR Units at Manufacturing Facility
( This test plan consisting of 17 different tests includes all 13 DSTR Units, even though 10 are to be delivered to Detroit Edison. The initial plan includes three 4.8 kV Units and three 7.620 kV Units.)
- High Voltage Antenna Test at a Nominal Voltage of 7.620kV
- Rated 60 Hz Steady State Current Test Up To a Maximum Rating of 1000 Amperes RMS, including a Transient Step Function Current and Measurement of Weather Parameters ( for 4.8 kV DSTR Units and 7.620 kV DSTR Units)
- Single Phase Current Test on Three Phase Test Span Up to 720 Amperes RMS ( for 4.8 kV DSTR Units and 7.620 kV DSTR Units )
- Single Phase Voltage Test on Three Phase Test Span for 4.8 kV DSTR Units
- Independent Three Phase Current Test on Three Phase Test Span
- Independent Three Phase Voltage Test on Three Phase Test Span for Three 4.8 kV DSTR Units, including Phase Rotation Determination by these Units, and Installation Procedure Check Out
- 4.8 kV DSTR Three Phase Current, Three Phase Voltage, and Power Factor Test for Three Phase Three Wire Unbalanced “Y” Connected Load Including Air Core Reactors and Three Phase Three Wire 240 Volt Delta Connected Source ( This Test is conducted for ACB and ABC Phase Rotation and Repeated Applying the Blondel Theorem)
- Fault Tests for 2,000 A, 5,000 A, 10,000 A, and 20,000 A Levels, and Simulations of Fast Reclose Breaker Operations, Including Transfer Trip Test Open and Close
- Impulse Tests Using 400 kV Impulse Generator for 4.8 kV DSTR Units
- Repeat Test 7. To Insure the 4.8 kV DSTR Units have the Same Power Quantity Measurement Accuracy as Test 7. For ABC Phase Rotation
- Single Phase Voltage Test on Three Phase Test Span for 7.620 kV DSTR Units
- Independent Three Phase Voltage Test on Three Phase Test Span for Three 7.620 kV DSTR Units, including Phase Rotation Determination by these Units, and Installation Procedure Check Out
- 7.620 kV DSTR Three Phase Current, Three Phase Voltage, and Power Factor Test for Four Wire “Y” Connected Unbalanced Load Including Air Core Reactors and Three Phase Four Wire “Y” Connected 120/208 V Isolated Generator Source ( This Test is conducted for ACB and ABC Phase Rotation)
- Fault Tests for 2.000 A, 5,000 A, 10,000 A, and 20,000 A Levels, and Simulations of Fast Reclose Breaker Operations, Including Transfer Trip Test Open and Close
- Impulse Tests Using 400 kV Impulse Generator for 7.620 kV DSTR Units
